Why a garden needs a picture

Most people can't read a planting plan. A circle labeled with a botanical name doesn't tell a homeowner how tall the hedge will be, how much shade the tree will cast or whether the patio will feel crowded with a table on it. A render shows that in one look. For a landscape designer, it often decides whether a proposal is accepted as drawn or cut back to the basics.

Renders also help with the jobs around the design: an HOA review, a contractor bid, a pool permit or simply agreeing with your partner on how much lawn to keep.

Who we draw for

Landscape designers and architects send their plans and get presentation images for clients. Landscape and pool contractors use renders to sell a design before quoting the build. Homeowners planning a yard send photos and a wish list, and get a picture to plan around or hand to a contractor.

What to send

  • A survey, site plan or a sketch of the yard with rough dimensions
  • Photos of the yard and the back or front of the house from where you'd stand
  • Your design, if there is one: planting plan, hardscape layout, materials list
  • The views you want: an overhead plan, an eye-level view from the patio, a view from the house
  • Plant lists or the look you want, such as native, low-water, shade or cottage style
  • Your deadline, and whether the images are for a client, an HOA review or a permit set

No plan yet? Photos and a rough sketch with measurements are enough for a first concept.

Where we work

All work is remote. We focus on Houston, Austin and Charlotte, where climate and soil shape what a garden can look like, and book calls in your local time.

Common questions

How much does a garden render cost?

It depends on the number of views, the size of the yard and whether we work from your design or build the layout from photos. Every job gets a written quote before work starts.

Do you design the garden too?

We draw what you or your designer have planned. If you only have ideas, we can lay out a simple concept to render, but we don't replace a landscape designer for planting choices or drainage.

Can you show the planting after a few years of growth?

Yes. Many clients ask for two versions: newly planted and at mature size, so nobody is surprised by bare beds in the first summer.

Are the images on this site real gardens?

No. The plans are concepts drawn for this site, and the photo-like images are AI-generated samples. Both are labeled.

Have a yard to show? Send a site plan or a few photos and tell us what you're planning to build or plant.
